Downtown Revitalization Project Request for Asbestos Testing Proposals The City of Glenwood has acquired a Downtown Revitalization Community Development Block Grant through Iowa Economic Development Authority to assist in rehabilitating the downtown area. Through this program, the city will rehabilitate the facades of 8 buildings in the downtown. Due to the funding source Federal procurement 2 CFR 200 will be followed as well as all other applicable federal laws and regulations such as Section 3. Glenwood is requesting bids for asbestos testing. Bid should include costs associated with sight testing and the potential for spot point testing. An estimate should also be included based on general assumptions about site and potential removal needed based on previous experience with ACM abatement. Inspection will only need to be completed within the first 24 inches of the 8 building fronts as the project is only for façade rehabilitation and will be disturbing a limited amount of the building components.
