The scope of work includes the removal of the existing asphalt material yard at the Park Services shop located at 7500 Frontage Road and replacement with concrete. The Work of this project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. A prevailing wage determination has been made for the Park District by IDOL for public works projects in Cook County. The contract entered into for the work will be drawing in compliance with said law and proposals should be prepared accordingly and provide payment for all laborers, workmen and mechanics needed to perform the work at no less than the prevailing rate of wages for each craft, type of worker or mechanic. All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Park District for ten prevent (10%) of the amount of the bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The Skokie Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any technicalities in the bidding if it should be deemed in the public's best interest.
