Description of Work: the Work for Which Proposals Are Invited Will Consist of, in General, but Shall Not Be Limited to, the Following: 1,400 Ft (0.27 Miles) of Pavement Removal, Subgrade Improvements, Hma Binder and Surface Course Placement, Removal and Replacement of Concrete Curb and Gutter, Removal and Replacement of Pcc Sidewalk, Sidewalk Intersection Improvements for Ada Compliance, Driveway Pavement Removal and Replacement, Landscape Restoration, and Other Associated Improvements in Accordance With the Contract Plans and Specifications. Location of Work: the Work is Located at Bluestem Road Between W Prairieview Road and Brooks Farm Road in Grant Township, Illinois, Lake County. Bid Security: Bid Security in the Form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the Amount of Ten (10) Percent of the Total Bid Made Payable to Grant Township Shall Accompany the Bid. Parties: References to 'owner', 'township', 'board', 'executive Board, or 'department' Within the Project Manual and All Related or Specified Publications as Indicated Herein and as Part of This Contract, Shall Mean Grant Township. Rejection of Bids: the Owner Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any Bid, to Award All or Part of a Contract, and to Make Such Awards as Are in the Best Interests of the Township. Any Such Decision Shall Be Considered Final. Factors Other Than Price Which Will Be Considered in Awarding or Rejecting Bids Shall Include the Results of Reference Contracts, and the Ability of the Bidder to Satisfactorily Perform the Work Proposed in Accordance With the Contract Documents.
