** As of August 29, 2025 bids received was overbduget.** The Archer Road Parking Lot is located east of Archer Road, between Old McHenry Road and Robert Parker Coffin Road, in Long Grove's downtown business district. This project includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: earth excavation, pipe underdrains, topsoil placement, and seed. This work is subject to the wage provisions of the Illi-nois Prevailing Wage Act. 820 ILCS 130/0/01 et seq. and the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act. 820 ILCS 265/1 et seq relative to prevailing wages of laborers, mechanics, and other workers employed in any Public Works as amended by Public Acts 86799 and 86693. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of TEN (10) percent of the total bid amount made payable to the Village of Long Grove shall accompany the bid. The Village of Long Grove reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to award all or part of a contract, and to make such awards as are in the best interests of the Village. Factors other than price which will be considered in awarding or rejecting bids shall include the results of reference contacts, and the quality of the bidder's performance on prior Village projects, if any, in the judgment of the Village Board and Village staff. All proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of 60 days. The Village Board will consider the submitted bids at their meeting in August. Construction is anticipated to start within 10 days of the contract execution and be completed by October 31, 2025.
