Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Greenwood, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 30,000-square-foot theater / auditorium.
The Arts Council of Greenwood county is requesting professional services from qualified project managers to manage a renovation project at the historic Arts Center at the Federal Building, located at 120 Main Street, Greenwood, SC 29646 Greenwood County and The Arts Center have identified the roof, gutter systems, exterior painting, and masonry weatherproofing as the main areas of focus for this renovation project. The roofing portion of the renovation project will involve approximately 6500 sq. ft. or slate roof and11,000 sq. ft. of flat roof. The painting portion of the project includes more than 80 windows and trim associated with the 30,000 sq. ft. brick building. Masonry weatherproofing will include the repointing of limestone cornerstones and sealing of exterior masonry using appropriate sealant techniques. The selected project manager will provide services including, but not limited to; an existing conditions report, asbestos testing, design development, cost estimating, construction documents, bidding, construction administration and close out documents. As of August 14, 2025, project manager awarded. Project was expected to start July 2024.
