Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Gig Harbor, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work to be completed under this contract generally consists of installing a new traffic signal system at Wollochet Drive and Wagner Way intersection, a new Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB) system at a trail crossing on Wagner Way, and new street lightings at the intersection and Tallman Wetland Trail crossing within the City of Gig Harbor. It also includes replacing cement concrete sidewalks, installing ADA curb ramps, cement concrete driveways, cement concrete crosswalks, curb and gutter, removing sidewalk and asphalt pavement, grinding of bituminous pavement, placement of new hot mix asphalt, adjust utility to finish grade, installing pavement marking, installing traffic signage and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Special Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Costs for the Project is $1,570,000.00. Work shall start within ten (10) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued to the contractor and shall be substantially complete in accordance with Section 1-08.5 of the Special Provisions. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the contract documents, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Gig Harbor. No bidder may withdraw their bid proposal after the time fixed for opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days. The City of Gig Harbor reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive minor irregularities in the bidding process. The City of Gig Harbor reserves the right to award this contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder based on the Bid Proposal. In determining the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, consideration will be given to the criteria listed in Section 1-03 and RCW 39.04.
