The project site is located in the Borough of Lansdale, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The project is located at the northern end of Ridge Street in Lansdale, PA 19446. Project Description :- The Borough of Lansdale is replacing the Ridge Street outfall, replacing the existing headwall, constructing a retaining wall, and performing swale improvements. The scope of work is more fully described in the Project Specifications herein and on the Project Plans. Bidders are required to provide Bid Security in an amount equal to 10% of the total amount bid. Bid Security may be provided in the form of a certified check or a bid bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to transact such business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Upon award of a contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract value. Upon completion of the contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a 2-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100%of the final contract value. Bidders are required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L.987, No. 442, where the project cost is $25,000 or above for public work. Only the Successful Bidder for a contract will be responsible for payment of a fee to PennBid and for bearing the cost thereof. The amount of the fee due to PennBid is either1/3% (0.0033) of the initial contract award amount for fixed fee contracts or 1/6%(0.00166) of the expected contract value for term contracts and will be invoiced by PennBid to the successful bidder upon award of a contract by the Local Contracting Unit. The minimum fee is set at$100.00 and the maximum fee is capped at $5,000.00. The Borough of Lansdale reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding when, in the opinion of the Borough, such rejections or waivers shall be to its interest or advantage. A. Base Bid - Mobilization. 1. The assembly and set-up of the general plant required to comply with the contract and with local and state laws and regulations. This includes contractor's offices, shops, plants, storage areas, and sanitary or other facilities. This work includes obtaining the required permits, insurance, bonds, and any other initial items required for the start of the work. B. Base Bid - Temporary Soil Erosion & Sediment Controls 1. Placement of temporary soil erosion and sediment controls throughout the project as shown on the Project Plans. 2. Placement of erosion control matting. C. Base Bid - Site Clearing. 1. Perform site clearing necessary for the proposed improvements. 2. Remove Trees, as shown on Project Plans. Tree removal shall include stump removal to 12" below proposed grade or any proposed feature. D. Base Bid - Storm Sewer Improvements. 1. Remove the existing concrete headwall and replace it with a new concrete headwall. 2. Construct cast-in-place concrete retaining wall. 3. Install rip-rap at outfall locations, as shown on the Project Plans. E. Base Bid- Sanitary Sewer Improvements 1. Install sanitary sewer main, connections, and sanitary cleanout, as shown on the Project Plans. F. Base Bid - Restorations 1. Install permanent pavement restorations including removal of temporary paving. 2. Perform site grading, as shown on the Project Plans. 3. Install chain link fencing and post & board wood fencing, as shown on the Project Plans. 4. Place 4" of topsoil, seed, and straw mulch all disturbed areas. G. Base Bid - Record Documents 1. Provide record documents for the project.
