Renovation of an educational facility in Highlands, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Bids shall be placed in a sealed envelope with the name of the project clearly marked on the front of the envelope and accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent 10% of the bid, but not more than $20,000. No pre-bid conference is scheduled at this time. Bidders who wish to visit the project site in person may do so by contacting Mr. Paul Spano, Director of Facilities at (848) 303-0787 to schedule an appointment. Due to the special nature of the work involved that can only be seen by an in-depth visitation, bidders are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to visit the project site as an integral and important element of the bidding process so that all bidders have an equal understanding of the scope of work involved. This project is being funded in part by funds from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority NJSDA pursuant to the terms of an Agreement between the School District and the NJSDA. All contractors and subcontractors engaged by the Owner to work on these projects agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. The Agreement is available for review at the Owner's Offices, located at 360 Navesink Avenue, New Jersey 07732 during normal business hours on official business days. All Contractors and Subcontractors named in the branches specified in N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18 who perform any work on the School Facilities Project shall be prequalified prior to the submission of any bids, pursuant to the Development Authority prequalification process. Any Contractors whose contract amount is less than the bid threshold pursuant to N.J.S.A.18A:18A-3 shall not be required to be prequalified pursuant to the Development Authority prequalification process. The prequalification process applies to General Contractors, Structural Steel Contractors, Plumbing Contractors, HVAC Contractors and Electrical Contractors. SINGLE-OVERALL CONTRACT BID Sealed Bid Proposals shall be received as follows: The bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in the following trade(s): C008 - GENERAL CONSTRUCTION or C009 - GENERAL CONSTRUCTION/ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS or C066 - ROOFING - MEMBRANE EPDM Subcontractors named in the Form of Bid Proposal for Structural Steel, Plumbing, Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning, and/or Electric, who perform any work on the Project must be prequalified prior to the submission of bids, pursuant to the State of New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC). Each bid must be accompanied by proof of Contractor's DPMC classification status. For projects with NJSDA funding the New Jersey Schools Development Authority NJSDA prequalification process requires that each bid must be accompanied by proof of Contractor's DPMC classification status with NJSDA's School Finance and Construction Program. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination," and affirmative action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.AC. 17:27-1 et seq. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. It is encouraged that all bids be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act to the Bidder and all subcontractors named in the Contractor's bid. If not included with the bid, these documents must be submitted prior to award. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:32-44, it is encouraged that all bids include a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue of the Bidder and include that of all subcontractors named in the Contractor's bid. If not included with the bid, these documents must be submitted prior to award. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids pursuant to applicable law and waive any immaterial informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law.
