All bidders must submit a Bid Bond or Cashier's or Certified Check for 10% of the total contract amount with theirbid form. Bidders must note: 1. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, and plainlymarked "SEALED BID - 2024 Fox Run Pond Dredging Project-Hole 18" and have the bidder's company name indicated on the face of the envelope. 2. Bids shall be submitted only on the Bid Form provided.The Bid Form must be completed in full and all total pricesmust include all work as stated in the specifications. 3. All Bids Submitted will be considered firm for a period of60 days from the bid opening date. 4. All Bidders are required to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Park District, that they are capable and able tocomplete the work as required in the specifications. Eachbidder shall submit with his Bid, proof that he satisfactorily performed work of a similar nature to that specifiedwithin the preceding two years, together with the locationsand the names of the responsible individuals in charge ofsuch projects. The general prevailing rate of wages in the locality foreach craft or type of worker or mechanic needed to executethe contract or perform the work, and the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work, as ascertained by the Park District or the Illinois Department of labor shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed toexecute the contract or to perform such work and it shall bemandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract isawarded and upon any subcontractor under him to pay notless than the specified rates to all laborers, workers andmechanics employed by them in the execution of thecontract or such work. Certified payroll is required on thisproject for both general and subcontractors. PROJECT SCOPE 1. The goal of this project is to remove roughly 6,080 liquid cubic yards of organic sediment from the 1.38 acre pond on Fox Run’s 18th hole. Starting at the deepest area of the pond, organic sediments shall be removed and pumped into silt containers on site. The sediment removal area will be roughly .8 acres with an average sediment depth of 4.75 feet. Silt containers provided by ‘bidder’. Silt container area preparation done by ‘owner’.
