This project is to repair or replace existing underground water, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer lines indicated to be deficient. Deficiencies include poor existing material conditions to inadequate capacities. Location: State University of New York at New Paltz Existing Conditions Most of the existing water, sanitary sewer & storm sewer piping serving campus is original, going back as far as the early half of the 20th century for the oldest campus buildings and the period between early1960s to mid-1970s when much of the existing campus was constructed. The campus has been experiencing breaks in these lines, causing disruption to service ranging from nuisance to life safety concerns when sprinkler systems and hydrants are impacted. New Work Repair or replace existing underground water, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer lines as outlined in the table below. Replace underground communications pathways along these same pathways installed in duct bank with a spare conduit as per Fund Directives. Restore site and landscaping. Replace site lighting poles. Provide new benches and new bicycle parking areas. All existing conditions are indicated for scope and budgetary purposes only and need to be field verified during design.
