The City of East St. Louis (the City) is issuing a Request for BIDs (RFB) from qualified and experienced contractors for the City of East St. Louis CITY HALL PARKING LOT PAVING, SEAL COATING, & STRIPING PROJECT. The project involves 3 parking lots surrounding and adjacent to the City Hall Municipal Building located at 301 River Park Dr. East St. Louis, IL 62201. Wedge and Pave - Red 1. Roto-mill all necessary edges tying into existing concrete or asphalt. 2. Clean areas to be paved using power broom and haul away all millings. 3. Prime all areas to be paved with SS-1H emulsified asphalt tack coat. 4. Install a 0 to 1 inch leveling (wedge) course of hot commercial asphalt to low lying areas, covering approximately 2,295 square yards, and compact before paving. 5. Install utility, sewer, and manhole risers if needed. 6. Remove and replace a set of 30"x30" damaged drain grates. 7. Pave approximately 2,295 square yards with hot commercial asphalt. 8. Roll for compaction with power driven rollers to a compacted 2 inches. 9. Taper and seal all edges where necessary. 10. to restripe paved area to existing layout on a Sunday. Sealcoat Parking Lots - Yellow 1. Trim vegetation from cracks and edges of asphalt surface as needed. 2. Clean all areas to be sealed using heavy duty blowers and push brooms. 3. Apply approximately 2,250 linear ft of hot rubberized crack sealer to single straight-line cracks over 1/2 inch in width. 4. Apply two coats of sand filled Seal Master Ultra Pavement Sealer to the asphalt pavement per the manufacturer's specifications. 5. Restripe parking lots to existing layout on a Sunday. 6.
