A timeline for award has not yet been established. 17th Street Reconstruction City of East St. Louis ("The City") is soliciting proposals for roadway reconstruction on 17th Street (E. Broadway to Gaty Ave.) in East St. Louis, Illinois, as more fully set out in the Scope of Work section of the Request for Proposals ("RFP"). The envelope shall be clearly marked "17th STREET RECONSTRUCTION." RFPs received past the deadline will not be considered. The city will evaluate RFPs and make a selection based on the firm's technical ability, experience, and ability to perform the work. The City will not provide compensation or defray any costs incurred by any firm related to the response to this request. The City reserves the right to negotiate with any and all persons or firms. The City also reserves the right to reject any or all RFPs, or to accept any deemed most advantageous to the City, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the RFPs received, and to revise the process schedule as circumstances arise. Scope of Work: Be advised that the authorities of the City of East St. Louis, Illinois have determined that the roadway has ran its useful life and the pavement is in deplorable condition, making the roadway unsafe and dangerous to the life, health, property, and safety of the public and constitutes an immediate and continuing hazard for the City of East St. Louis and its citizens in violation of East St. Louis Municipal Codes. Construction shall follow the requirement of the Illinois Standard Specification for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition.
