proposals from qualified independent consulting firms to conduct a feasibility study on improvements to the roadway system connected to SR 227. Qualified firms should have a track record of experience in analyzing traffic systems and suggesting workable solutions. With 66% of the Elko County's population living on either end of SR 227, which is filtered into Elko via two bridges that cross the railroad and river, any disruption to the highway or either bridge disrupts traffic flow, and makes it impossible to move people around in an emergency. Elko County would like to explore options to improve this situation, including but not limited to, improvements to the systems connected to SR 227 The right is reserved by the Board of Elko County Commissioners to reject any and all proposals or to accept such proposal as deemed best by said Board, and to waive any technicality in the form of the proposal. Requests for clarification regarding this RFP must be made to Amanda Osborne, Elko County Manager at aosborne@elkocountynv.net no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) Pacific Time on April 22, 2024. Answers to requests for clarification will be provided to all persons making a request no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) Pacific Time, April 26, 2024 and posted to the Elko County website
