furnishing of all labor and material for the construction of the Village-wide water meter replacement project. This project is a 1-year contract to furnish and install new residential and commercial water meters, cellular end points, and the associated network collection system. Description: Major quantities for the Work include: 294 Furnish and Install 5/8-Inch Meter 8 Furnish and Install 3/4-Inch Meter 3 Furnish and Install 1-Inch Meter 4 Furnish and Install 1 1/2-Inch Meter 3 Furnish and Install 2-Inch Meter 312 Furnish and Install Cellular Endpoint 1 Furnish and Install Associated Network System. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Contractors on the Project shall be required to comply with the minimum wages and labor standards, and conditions of employment to be observed, as determined by the Federal Davis-Bacon wage rates, under the Contract. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under contract. Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements apply to this Project (E.O. 11246). The Owner encourages MBEs, WBEs, and SBRAs to submit Bid proposals. The Village of Cascade reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the Village of Cascade. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
