Deadline for questions shall be at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 The CHLORINE CONTACT TANK EXPANSION PROJECT AND MEADOWLARK WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY CONVERSION TO SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE PROJECT (Work) consists of the expansion of the existing chlorine contact tank and the construction of a new sodium hypochlorite storage and feed facility and removal of an existing chlorine gas storage and feed facility at the Meadowlark Water Reclamation Facility in Carlsbad, California, and the modifications and demolition of various components, as fully described in the Contract Documents (Work). Chlorine Contact Tank Expansion Project (Work Order No. 250264) The Meadowlark Water Reclamation Facility (MRF) has two existing chlorine contact tanks (CCTs), which is the final recycled water treatment process responsible for disinfection. The CCTs convey a peak flow of 5.0 million gallons per day (MGD). Successful completion of the CCT Expansion will provide a third CCT basin to the system, per Plan resulting in a 1.5 MGD flow capacity increase to the disinfection treatment process. The location of the work is generally described above and fully described in the Contract Documents. All work under this Contract shall be completed within Three Hundred SixtyFive (365) calendar days from the date noted in the NOTICE TO PROCEED. The estimated construction cost is $17,800,000. It is the responsibility of each prospective Bidder to download and print all Contract Documents for review and to verify the completeness of Contract Documents before submitting a Bid.
