The work to be done consists, in general, of installing approximately 3,900 feet of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) water main along with the necessary appurtenances, replacing the function of the existing asbestos cement pipelines. The project also includes installing approximately 45 service connections with meters and meter boxes and installing five fire hydrants. This project contains additives including removing the existing storage tank and installing a new storage tank with other necessary appurtenances within the same site, and installing pavement overlays in the project area. This project is subject to the contracting requirements and implementing regulations as amended in Title 13, Section 2449 General Requirements for In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets, of the California Code of Regulations (13 CCR 2449(i)). Bidders must submit valid Certificates of Reported Compliance (CRCs) issued by the California Air Resources Control Board at the time of bidding The successful bidder shall furnish a faithful performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount and a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount Bid security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid, and in the form of a bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer licensed by the California Department of Insurance, cash, cashier's check or certified check shall accompany the bid.
