Saving Project...

Remodeling and renovation of a mixed-use development in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Working plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade laboratory facility; and for the remodel of a laboratory facility.

As of August 21, 2024 the project is in design stage. The owner has selected a Construction Manager. The architect has been chosen. The subbid schedule has not yet been established, but is not expected to be issued before the fourth quarter of 2024. A construction timeline has not yet been determined. ___________________________________________________________________ Question Deadline 05/17/2024 at 12:00 PM CT The Project will relocate researchers from the Institute of Translational Neuroscience (ITN) from the Wallin Medical Biosciences building (WMBB) to the Molecular and Cellular Biology Building (MCB). The program includes open lab benches, lab support spaces, and offices arranged to fit within the existing rooms and available spaces on MCB 5th Floor. Remodeling is anticipatedwith the existing equipment to be relocated with anticipated modifications necessary to support the new location of the equipment Indicate the percent of wages for construction workers that the Respondent will charge under 6.2.3 and 6.2.4 of the Contract as full payment for costs paid or incurred by the Respondent for taxes (SUTA, FUTA, and FICA), workers compensation insurance contributions, assessments and benefits required by law or collective bargaining agreements, and for personnel not covered by such agreements, customary benefits such as sick leave, medical and health benefits, holidays, vacations, and pensions. The University reserves the right to contact any noted references, consider other references, or consider Respondent's documented past performance at the University. The project relocates six PI's plus staff, currently located on floors 3 and 4, from the Institute of Transitional Neuroscience (ITN) in Wallin Medical Bioscience Building (WMBB) to available (vacant) space on level 5 in the Molecular and Cellular Biology Building (MCB). Previously, Moos 3 was being considered for this relocation but the project was cancelled due to cost. The ITN program relocation to MCB includes occupying existing open bench space, lab support (including animal behavior), and office workspace in MCB. This project minimizes changes to Level 5 in MCB: o Existing open lab, LER, and various lab support spaces will remain as-is and be re-purposed or modified to meet the needs of ITN. o Select lab support spaces will be remodeled to support the ITN program. o Identified offices will require updated finishes. The project may include Alternate 1 and Alternate 2, air valve replacement, as identified in the RFP Documents.
