Fitchburg High School Walk-In Freezer: the City of Fitchburg is seeking a General Contractor for the installation of a new walk-in freezer unit on concrete foundation, attached to existing kitchen at the High School; includes fire alarm, fire suppression, and site work. Currently, these goals are 4.2% MBE, and 8.8% WBE for construction which are currently 6.9% for women workers and 15.3% for minority workers The following documents depict the addition of a new walk-in freezer for district overflow food storage at the Fitchburg High School at 140 Arnhow Road in Fitchburg. The new walk-in freezer unit will be connected to the existing storage room at the rear of the existing kitchen space of the Fitchburg High School and shall be installed on a new concrete foundation as part of this work. The new walk-in unit will be connected to standby power via connection to the existing on-site generator. The work includes, new life safety/fire alarm devices, sprinkler coverage via. sidewall sprinkler heads connected to the schools existing fire supression system, and associated sitework improvements.
