The Southborough Public Schools is soliciting quotations for removing and replacing the failed existing 6-ton 3-phase Trane RTU at the Mary E. Finn School. The successful vendor must supply all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to satisfy the requirements of this quote. Project details are as follows The use of all heavy machinery and equipment must occur between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. The schedule for the work must be agreed upon and remain consistent. The vendor must provide 24-hour notice to the District's Facilities Manager if the schedule needs to be changed. The vendor will resume work within 48 hours if the schedule is delayed due to weather, staffing, or other unforeseen circumstances. The vendor must provide a project timeline with the expected lead time for new equipment. The vendor must recover the refrigerant from the existing unit and dispose of the toxic material under EPA guidelines. The vendor will disconnect and remove the existing RTU. The unit will be disposed of by the vendor using proper recycling methods. The vendor must provide and install a new Trane (Precedent Packaged YSJ072A3S0H0000) 6 Ton 3 phase RTU or equivalent and curb adaptor if needed. The vendor must provide necessary piping, duct changes, and wiring as needed. The vendor must connect the new unit to the existing power supply. The power and control wiring are to be reused. The vendor must perform a complete system check and start-up of the unit. The project includes the cost of a crane, transportation of the new unit, and the disposal of the old unit. The vendor will ensure that all employees have completed CORI/SORI background checks with the Southborough Public Schools prior to starting the project.
