The Collin County Community College District ("Collin") is seeking sealed responses from qualified firms to select a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) firm to provide pre-construction and construction services for the following as part of Collin's 2024 Capital Improvement Program. This solicitation shall be used to select an individual firm for both Packages. It is the intent of the District to select one firm for both Packages the District reserves the right to award each Package to separate firms: Package 1 Renovation of existing CHEC building. This project's estimated construction cost is projected to be approximately $7 million and targeted square footage is approximately 90,000 sf, of which 41,000 will be carpet replacement. The balance will be varying degrees of renovations. Package 2 Renovation of existing Courtyard building. This project's estimated construction budget is approximately $5 million and targeted square footage is approximately 30,000 sf. Recommendation of Award and Approval to Enter into Contract: May 28, 2024 Notice to Proceed: June 18, 2024 Bonds are required for public works projects. Bonds may be requested for other District projects. Bonds in the amounts prescribed below shall be required to be posted by the contractor as follows: Bids $25,000 or more - Labor and Material Payment Bond - bond amount to be one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price. Bids of $100,000 or more - Performance Bond - bond amount to be one hundred percent (100%) of total contract price. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submittals or parts of submittals and to award based on the best overall value submitted to the District with consideration given to price and capability to perform in accordance with the standard business practices and requirements of the solicitation.
