Project Description: Project consists of pavement rehabilitation and construction at various schools across the school district to include Vicksburg Junior High, Vicksburg High School ,Redwood Elementary. Work includes milling and overlay section, new construction, striping, and limited drainage improvements as indicated in contract documents and plans. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute a contract and post-Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and amount with in the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used , shall be payable to the Owner. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount.
