The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority is seeking qualified consultants to provide Architectural and Engineering Services for planned replacement of the General Aviation Terminal Building located at 4701 N.E. 40th Terrace, Gainesville, FL. The building size is anticipated to be 10,000 - 15,000 sq. ft. A two-step design process is planned. Task I will examine existing and anticipated future terminal needs and consider options with respect to the existing building, site conditions and project budget. An alternatives analysis comparing potential building sizes/configurations, site orientation and cost estimates will be submitted to the Airport Authority for consideration. A design Task Order (Task 2) will be further negotiated for approval by GACRAA after selection of the preferred alternative. Task 1 of the project is expected to begin in mid-2024 and be completed by the end of 2024. Task 2 is anticipated to begin by the end of 2024 and be completed by mid-2025. Construction is anticipated to begin in early 2026, pending issuance of state and federal grants. This is a qualifications-based selection process. The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any and all proposals submitted in response to this Request for any reason. Interested parties are advised that lobbying of Evaluation Committee members, Airport Authority members and Airport Authority employees, regarding Requests for Qualification (RFQ), Bids or Contracts is strictly prohibited from the point of advertisement until a final award is made or protest is resolved, and will result in immediate rejection of that parties' proposal.
