Scorpio as the Construction Manager for the University of Florida is pleased to extend this Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Metal Panel Façade package for the new UF-396 FMNH TESI Addition located in Gainesville, Florida. The work will apply to the front addition of the project; a 14,800 SF addition to the existing Florida Museum of Natural History. As of April 29, 2024, the following has been shared: Please be advised of the following Voluntary Alternate #1 for the UF 396 TESI RFP - Metal Panel System: • VOLUNTARY ALT 1: Provide exterior metal framing, sheathing, and waterproofing as shown in the documents. Note that all exterior semi-rigid insulation shown is to be included as part of the base bid. The overall scope of work for this trade is to assist in the design, furnish, and install of the Panelized Metal Façade system. The system includes the metal panels, structure, and substructure. The selected firm will ultimately be responsible for furnishing and installing a complete panelized façade based on the design and the official contract documents. Construction is anticipated to start September 2024. The budget for performing the Design Assist services as well as furnishing and installing the Metal Facade System is ($163 /SF x 7,360 SF) $1,200,000. The goal ofthis procurement effort is to find a subcontractor who is aware of the budget and understands that adhering to it is part of the responsibility associated with the award ofthe Design Assist.
