A hydraulic model of the GRU wastewater collection system is needed to represent current and future conditions to plan infrastructure projects. To facilitate the development and calibration of this model, flow monitoring at key locations in the collection system is needed. GRU has contracted with Hazen and Sawyer (Hazen) for the model development and calibration. GRU intends to select (through this ITB) the Firm that will provide the necessary temporary flow monitoring services to collect flow and rainfall data for incorporation into the model. GRU estimates collection of data at approximately 50 flow monitors, and 4 rain gauges for a 6-month period. Activity involving effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result requested in the scope. GRU provides utilities to the greater Gainesville area and has approximately 67,000 wastewater customers. GRU operates two water reclamation facilities: the Main Street WRF and Kanapaha WRF have average flows of approximately 6.0 MGD and 11 MGD, respectively. GRU owns and maintains 670 miles of gravity main, 150 miles of force main, 16,200 manholes and 178 lift stations. GRU needs a wastewater model for its collection system that represents current and future flow conditions. Additionally, GRU wants to identify and prioritize projects to improve the operation of its collection system, reduce inflow and infiltration, and accommodate future growth. GRU may conduct such investigation as GRU deems necessary to establish the responsibility, qualifications and financial ability of Respondent(s), proposed subcontractors, material suppliers, individuals, or entities to perform the Work in accordance with the Contract. Such information may include, but shall not be limited to, current financial statements, bank records, verifications of availability of equipment and personnel and past performance records.
