Pittsford Area Schools will receive sealed bid proposals from qualified Mechanical Contractors for the Pittsford Area Schools - Boiler Plant 1 Replacement and Upgrades. A. The project consists of all necessary prep to perform the indicated work in the following areas: Boiler Plant 1: Removal and replacement of boilers, pumps, and associate equipment per the bid documents prepared by Ameresco. All equipment shall be furnished and installed by this contractor. Boiler replacement work at Pittsford Area Schools shall start in spring 2024 and must be completed before the end of August 2024, with primary equipment installation completed by August 14, 2024, for the start of the school year. The successful bidder will be a subcontractor to Ameresco, who will hold their contract. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or a satisfactory Surety Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price as guaranty. No bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by the required guaranty. Checks shall be made payable to Pittsford Area Schools. All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the School Board, or the superintendent of Pittsford Area Schools. A sworn and notarized Affidavit of compliance to the Iran Economic Sanctions Act is also required. The Owner will not accept a proposal that does not include these sworn and notarized statements. The Project Completion Date is August 14, 2024. The right to accept and/or reject any and all proposals and to waive any and all informalities and/or irregularities in bid proposals submitted during the bidding process is reserved by the Owner, which right may be exercised at the sole discretion of the Owner.
