The Board of Commissioners for Dawson County will receive sealed bids for lawn mowing/trimming services at the Dawson County Cemetery and Dawson Memorial Cemetery. Prevailing Wages may apply. Lawn maintenance and trimming around the buildings, parking, fencing, utility poles, sidewalks, dumpsters, trees, shrubs, ditches, creeks, signs in the maps marked area. Lawn Maintenance and weed eating around all fences and grave markers. The use of herbicide or weed killer of any kind for this purpose will not be allowed. Mulching may be allowed around isolated trees and shrubs. Trees will be trimmed. Lawn & Grounds maintenance along access drives and right of ways. Routine tree limb and trash pickup removal should be done at each mowing. All clippings will be bagged and disposed of at the clippings pile. Contractor will provide their own equipment. Contractor reports to the Dawson County Sexton. A contract agreement must be signed prior to work starting, with a contract date for the period of May 1, 2024 through September 30, 2024. Contractor will provide their own liability Insurance. Contractor must provide proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance or Exemption. Contractor is solely responsible for any damage to any public or private property resulting from the performance of the work. All mechanized equipment must be turned off if encounter the public (within 20 feet) No mechanized equipment may be used within 200 feet of a funeral in progress. The contractor will notify the Sexton of any areas where pest or weed control may be necessary. The contractor will honor the Cemetery policy in regards to placement of memorial flowers.
