The Engineer anticipates that construction can begin no earlier than 10 calendar days after award or as directed by the Engineer. In no case may any work be commenced prior to receipt of formal Notice of Award by the Department. In addition to the Local Lakeside Road, Pier Road, and W East Road Improvements project, it is anticipated there will be other projects under construction located in the immediate area. 1. Berrien County Road Department (BCRD) - The BCRD is planning a road and shared use path project on Red Arrow Highway from Berrien Road to Lakeshore Road. The project is scheduled to take place in the Summer/Fall of 2024. Work to be included is milling the roadway, HMA paving, new shared use path, permanent signs, and pavement markings. The Contractor shall contact the Engineer to coordinate work between the two projects. The Contractor shall not restrict construction traffic for the adjacent project within the proposed project limits.
