The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), and Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE) to compete and perform a Firm Fixed Price contract. The type of solicitation to be issued will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. Lake Mead National Recreation Area in Boulder City, Nevada has a requirement for a contractor to replace approximately 4,935 SF of modified bituminous roof and reconfigure ducts from four rooftop HVAC units for more efficient layout. The roof will be replaced in kind for all components including plywood, insulation, cover boards, and asphalt sheets. The competency of the structural deck will be assessed after removal of the existing roof system. The existing roof insulation and associated flashings, curbs, supports, hatches, and penetrations will be replaced. The existing HVAC systems will be disconnected and removed, along with ducting systems and curbs. Four new HVAC units will be installed, along with three small, 1.5 ton, mini-split system air conditioning units. New mechanical and electrical components for proper operation of HVAC units will be installed throughout the basement, first floor, and roof of Visitor Center. Existing ductwork, grilles, piping and controls for HVAC systems will be cleaned, inspected, repaired, and replaced where necessary. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this sources sought is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is $19 million in average annual receipts. Vendors responding to this sources sought notice should include the following information: 1.
