Renovation of a residential development in Rock Island, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The City of Rock Island is requesting bids from contractors for a rehabilitation project at a house located at 1322 14 1/2 Street. This owner-occupied property will be undergoing rehabilitation using Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds to ameliorate deteriorating and deteriorated conditions. All work shall be subject to HUD 35.930 and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. Remove the existing High Efficiency furnace unit. Replace with a new equal or higher efficiency gas fired unit. Replace the fresh air intact and flue if needed. All PVC joints must be cleaned and glued with installation of the new unit. All duct's must be seal at the joints on returns and supplies. Check to make sure all register boots are secure to the subfloor. The condition lines are properly installed and ran to a drain. The line exiting the new unit must have a T fitting installed. The furnace switch must be installed to the side of new furnace with a new proper amp fuse. Replace the existing gas shut to the furnace with new. New programable thermostat is required. Mechanical permit is required before work begins.
