Thornapple Kellogg Schools is seeking bids to remove all known asbestos containing materials from the Learning Center. The building will be demolished by others following abatement. Northern Analytical Services, LLC. (NAS) has been hired to prepare these Project Specifications, oversee the abatement activities, and perform post abatement clearance testing. All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized affidavit of compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized affidavit. All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the superintendant of the school district, or chief executive officer or the public school academy. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid amount is required and shall accompany the bid. Bid security may be in the form of a bid bond issued by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the State of Michigan, a cashier's check, or money order payable to Thornapple Kellogg Schools. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the bid date. Thornapple Kellogg Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids per MCL 380.1267.
