Requests Proposals from experienced Construction Manager/General Contractors (CM/GC) for the construction of the North Douglas High School Gym Seismic Rehabilitation Project. Project Scope of Work: The project consists of seismic strengthening in the North Douglas High School Gym at 305 S Main St., Drain, OR 97435. The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal that is not in compliance with all prescribed requirements. For good cause, the Owner may reject any or all Proposals upon a written finding that it is in the public interest to do so. Scope: The project scope includes seismic strengthening for the North Douglas High School Gym. The building portion in scope consists of approximately 14,366-square-foot, single-story, wood-framed building containing a gymnasium, stage, and locker rooms. The building was originally constructed in 1949. The intent is to strengthen the building to an Immediate Occupancy (Seismic Risk Category IV) seismic performance level. Seismic strengthening may consist of the following elements: o Strengthening existing wood framed walls with plywood sheathing and holdowns, o Strengthen roof diaphragm with blocking, metal strapping and nailing, o Install in-plane connections between diaphragms and shear walls, o Install bracing and anchorage of various nonstructural components as necessary. A copy of the conceptual seismic strengthening scheme submitted as part of the Oregon SRGP application will be distributed at the mandatory onsite Pre-Proposal Conference Question Deadline 04/15/2024 at 5:00 PM PT
