The projects generally consists of replacing & installing new flooring. All pre-qualification questionnaires will be received until 4:00 P.M., Friday May 3rd, 2024, through Quality Bidders using their web link at online Request for Information (RFI's) and Bid period questions relative to the building projects are to be submitted to Mark Herrera at mherrera@smfcsd.net and Billy Tran at btran@smfc.k12.ca.us by Wednesday May 1st no later than 2:00 pm. The Districts Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. As per specified locations and construction specifications provided by the District, the project consists of all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to complete the following scope: Move all furniture in and out of rooms during pre/post construction, provide wall protection (At all schools) Demo and remove the existing carpet, VCT/LVT, sheet vinyl, and wall base (At all Schools) Provide proper floor preparation for all existing concrete subfloor areas receiving new flooring as per manufacturer specifications (At North Shoreview Montessori, LEAD, and Foster City Elementary) Remove existing moisture barrier membrane/system to expose subfloor (At Foster City Elementary Only) Furnish and Install specified moisture barrier system as per manufacturers specifications Furnish and Install new wood underlayment in all areas receiving new flooring as per manufacturer specifications (At Laurel Elementary and Abbott Middle School - Portables Only) Fill all subfloor cracks with specified filler as per manufacturer specifications (At North Shoreview Montessori, LEAD, and Foster City Elementary) Furnish and Install new specified entry walk off carpet tile, field carpet tile, resilient plank flooring, resilient sheet flooring, top set coved wall base and all related sundries and accessories.
