Note that the Bid Bond must be in effect for a period of sixty (60) days from the bid opening date. Mayor and City Council reserve the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality not material to the bid and to award the contract as may be deemed to the best interest of the City of Altoona. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Contractor agrees to begin work within ten (10) consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed and to complete the entire contract within SIXTY (60) consecutive calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. It is agreed that if the contract is not completed as specified, liquidated damages shall be Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars per calendar day. The City of Altoona reserves the right to reject any and all bids or portions thereof, to waive any defects or irregularities and informalities not material to the bid and to award the contract as Council deems to be in the best interest of the City of Altoona.
