Washington Parking Lot Expansion Questions Due Date: Apr 24th 2024, 12:00 PM EDT Either an original Certified Check, Official Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the "City of Altoona" equal to ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal. Note that the Bid Bond must be in effect for a period of sixty (60) days from the bid opening date. Mayor and City Council reserve the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality not material to the bid and to award the contract as may be deemed to the best interest of the City of Altoona. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Contractor agrees to begin work within ten (10) consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed and to complete the entire contract within SIXTY (60) consecutive calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. It is agreed that if the contract is not completed as specified, liquidated damages shall be Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars per calendar day. The City of Altoona reserves the right to reject any and all bids or portions thereof, to waive any defects or irregularities and informalities not material to the bid and to award the contract as Council deems to be in the best interest of the City of Altoona. The decision of the City as to the bidder or bidders selected will be conclusive. Conditional bids will not be accepted.
