It is the intent of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) to establish a term contract(s) to provide Blount County, TN with hot mix asphalt, either loaded on Blount County Highway Department trucks or put in place on County roads by the contractor. Bid responses will ONLY BE ACCEPTED from Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) prequalified contractors. Bid responses are not accepted via email or fax. Bidders must allow ample time to submit their response. No information may be submitted or modified beyond the Response Deadline Date / Time. Question Cut Off Date 9/9/2024 04:00:00 PM (ET) The contract term shall begin upon award and continue through June 30, 2025. If agreeable to both parties, the contract(s) may be renewed annually for 4 additional one-year terms. In the event the vendor chooses not to renew, the County reserves the right to award to the next lowest bidder or rebid the contract.
