The Residential Municipal Waste Collection, Transportation And Disposal Of Verona. Borough From June 1, 2024 Through May 31, 2027; With Options For A Fourth Year Term Or Fifth Year Term, Located At The Verona Borough Building, 736 East Railroad Avenue, Verona, Pennsylvania 15147. The Garbage Removal Includes All Single And Multiple Family Dwellings Throughout The Entire Borough And For Collection And Disposal Of Recycling (Bi-weekly) (Base Bid). Bids Are To Be Submitted By The Contractor On A Total Cost Basis, And A Bid Bond In The Amount Of Ten Percent (10%) Of The Bid Must Accompany Each Bid. Any And All Residential Solid Waste And Recyclable Collection Or Disposal Is To Be Performed By The Successful Bidder. Excluded Shall Be: Stones, Rocks And Broken Concrete; Refuse Caused By Repairs, Alterations, Remodeling, Demolition And/or Construction Of Buildings And Other Structures; Ashes From Heating Plants, Furnaces And Stoves; And Bushes, Shrubs Or Other Vegetation With Earth Or Soil Attached To The Root Systems; And No Prohibited Covered Devices As Defined By The Pennsylvania Covered Device Recycling Act Of 2010. Successful Bidder Will Be Expected To Enter Into A Written Agreement With The Borough Of Verona In Accordance With The Requirements Of The Boroughs Code And As Approved By The Borough Solicitor. Proper Certification Of Insurance And Workmen's Compensation Coverage Is Required. The Borough Of Verona Reserves The Right To Reject Any Or All Bids As Deemed In The Best Interest Of The Borough.
