Utility and Street Improvements - Ash Street Major Quantities on the Project Include: 1 LS Mobilization and Traffic Control 1,200 LF Remove Existing Storm Sewer and Structures 11,000 SY Remove Asphalt, Curb, and Sidewalks 12 Each Clearing and Grubbing Trees 4,500 CY Common Excavation 4,700 Ton Crushed Aggregate Base Course 2,000 Ton Asphalt Pavement 4,100 LF Concrete Curb and Gutter 12,000 SF 4- and 6-inch Concrete Sidewalk, Steps or Driveway 5,000 SY Turf Establishment 60 LF 42 inch RCP Storm Sewer 500 LF 30- and 36-inch HDPE Storm Sewer 750 LF 18- and 24-inch HDPE Storm Sewer 425 LF 12-inch HDPE Storm Sewer 10 Each Storm Sewer Manhole 14 Each Storm Sewer Inlet 2,100 LF 8-inch C900 Water Main 5 Each Fire Hydrant Package 12 Each 6- and 8-inch Gate Valve & Box 28 Each 1-inch Water Service with Corporation and Curb Stop 15 Each Private Water Service Line Replacement and Plumbing Connection 35 Each 6-inch Sanitary Sewer Service Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Use of American Iron and Steel: The Contract requires the use of American Iron and Steel products. Iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. Contractor will be required to provide Owner documentation of the use of American Iron and Steel. Contractors on the Project shall be required to comply with the minimum wages and labor standards, and conditions of employment to be observed, as determined by the Federal Davis-Bacon wage rates, under the Contract. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under contract. Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements apply to this Project (E.O. 11246). The Owner encourages MBEs, WBEs, and SBRAs to submit Bid proposals. The City of Spooner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
