The City of St. Petersburg invites qualified firms to submit statements of qualifications to provide Design-Build services at a Guaranteed Maximum Price for the design and construction of the scope items provided below for the Beach Drive and North Shore Drive NE Watermain Replacement Project. This work is part of the Old Northeast infrastructure improvements project, located in the Old Northeast Neighborhood of St. Petersburg, Florida. The Old Northeast neighborhood is supplied by water through a network of mostly polyvinyl, cast iron, and galvanized piping installed during the 1950s and 1960s. Due to outdated pipe materials and a corrosive environment, the pipes have reached the end of their anticipated useful life and are in need to be replaced. In addition to interruption of water service, road surface damage, and other financial liabilities, the water pipes are a significant contributor to water loss due to leaks and increased frequency flushing to maintain water quality. The City has been replacing pipes under the Galvanized and Unlined Pipe Elimination Program. This project will address the replacement of approximately 14,000 linear feet of non-continuous 2-inch to 8-inch, polyvinyl, cast-iron, and galvanized water mains in the Old Northeast neighborhood. This project will focus on replacing approximately 14,000 linear feet of water main in two sections of the Old Northeast Neighborhood. The City will award to one vendorwhose proposal is determined in writing to be the most advantageous to the City, taking into consideration the evaluation criteria set forth in this solicitation. All awards are contingent on the Vendor meeting the minimum qualifications outlined in this solicitation.
