The successful respondent shall provide engineering surveys for projects designed by the City of St. Joseph, or its consultants, including, but not limited to, horizontal and vertical control, topography, cross sections, profiles, contours, field locates and as-built drawings. The successful respondent(s) shall also provide field data on reproducible media and on electronic file in a format compatible with the latest AutoCad version and one copy of field notes or data collector information. The successful respondent may also be required to provide: o Boundary surveys o Construction staking on projects when it is the City's responsibility to provide said service o Legal descriptions of any right-of-way or easements to be acquired by the City on projects that surveys were provided o Install and provide Global Position Systems (GPS) observance documentation and field data on provided monuments as administered by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Geology and Land Survey Owner Rights: The City reserves the right to award the work to its best advantage. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to waive technical defects as it may deem desirable. Entering into a Master Agreement does not guarantee a certain amount of work will be performed. The City reserves the right to inspect the establishment, facilities, business reputation, and other general qualifications of any proposer and to reject any proposal, irrespective of quoted prices, if the proposer shall be determined to be lacking in any of the essentials necessary to assure acceptable standards of performance. Payment and Performance Bonds : A letter from the Respondent's surety must be provided to verify the availability of performance and payment bonds of at least $50,000.00 for each Project should it be required. The surety must be authorized by law to do business in Missouri and must have an A.M. Best Company Rating of "A-VII" or better. The surety must also be listed in the U.S. Department of Treasury's Circular 570. The Respondent must provide a letter from the bonding surety indicating that the Respondent is capable of meeting the bonding and insurance requirements.
