The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part of a bid presented, or to invite proposals as its interest may appear. There will be no pre-bid conference for this bid. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, sex, religions, color or national origin. The Contractor must adhere to the New Britain Code of Ordinances, Section 2-265 to 2-268 An "affidavit" of non-collusion and other required City Forms are included in the Bid Documents, and must be completed by the prospective bidder and returned with the bid submitted. Failure to return an executed non-collusion affidavit or required City Forms with a proposal may result in the subsequent rejection of subject bid. 10% Bid-Bond is required. Performance and Material Bonds and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the company awarded the bid. The scope of work generally consists of the permanent repair of utility trenches on City and State Streets in the City of New Britain.
