**As of June 4, 2024, the project was awarded to Mills Electric Services, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $266,752.** Year 48 CDBG Solar Lights Question Deadline 04/30/2024 at 5:00 PM ET All questions requiring interpretation or clarification of the bidding documents shall be made in writing and shall be delivered to the City (and its Consultant, if applicable) to procurement@daniabeachfl.gov The City of Dania Beach, Florida (the "City" or "Owner"), is actively seeking bids from qualified Contractors (the "Contractor"), for a project known as "YEAR 48 CDBG SOLAR LIGHTS, ITB 24-010". The work under this Contract comprises of furnishing and installation of twenty (20) solar powered lighting systems and associated poles. The solar lighting systems and the attachment to the pole must be designed to meet or exceed ASCE/SEI 7-16 specifications for 150-mph, Exposure D, wind event. Project work will include but not be limited to site preparation, earthwork, complete solar powered lighting system, and site restoration in accordance with the provided Technical Specifications. 1.1.2 By submitting a bid, the Bidder acknowledges that he, she, or it is familiar with the scope of services prior to submitting a bid. Failure of a Bidder to be familiar with the requirements of the Project Work does not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility for the completion of all required services for the Project. 1.1.3 It shall also be the Bidder's responsibility to visit the proposed Project Site to become thoroughly familiar with the nature and extent of the Work to be performed and all local existing site conditions, and to make his or her own estimate of the facilities and difficulties attending the execution of the Work; no allowance shall be made by the Owner for the Bidder's failure to do so. 1.1.4 Bids will be considered if submitted by qualified Contractors who or which have experience, including similar previous work in the provision of the requested services. Contractors offering full service will receive the highest consideration. 1.1.5 Applicants must include the following items in the submitted Bid: a. Letter of Transmittal; b. Anticipated time line to begin delivery of services; c. A breakdown of the costs for the delivery of services described above. d. Resumes of key personnel who will actually be assigned to the Project Work and a description of the role of each person within the company. NOTE: The City expects those personnel listed to be those who will be actually performing the Project Work. Substitutions (Contractors only) will be permitted only upon written approval of the City's representative or designee who is in charge of the Project. e. A list of five (5) similar projects performed in South Florida (see the form to be used which is included as Exhibit "A," "Bidder Qualifications"; it is made a part of and is incorporated into the ITB by this reference) and it includes the following information: 1) Name of each entity for which the work was performed; 2) Brief description of the scope of work; 3) Amount of initial contract award; and 4) Name of the contact person and contact information with the entity who can knowledgeably discuss your company's performance.
