The project consists of: Replacement of three (3) select sewer mains totaling 806 lineal feet, and service line re-connections, by traditional trench excavation methods. Federal Prevailing Wages apply to this contract. The CONTRACTOR(s) and all subcontractors shall pay employees involved in the performance of the construction work according to the Laws of the United States and the State of Montana in accordance with the schedule of Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor and/or the schedule of Montana Prevailing Wage Rates established by the Montana Department of Labor and Industry included in the Project Manual. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to City of Libby, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. The selection of Low Bidder will be based on the Total Bid for all Schedules. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, to award only Schedule 1 or only Schedules 1 and 2, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the OWNER.
