Site work for a water / sewer project in Santa Monica, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City owns and operates four water storage reservoirs (Arcadia, San Vincente, Mt. Olivette, and Riviera) to meet the water demands of the community. The four reservoirs have a combined storage volume of approximately 40 million gallons. The oldest reservoir of the four has been in service for nearly 100 years. This project will fund necessary upgrades and improvements to each reservoir to maintain reliable drinking water service for the City and to comply with recent regulatory requirements from the State Division of Drinking Water. The project is included in the City of Santa Monica's FY 2025-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of March 24, 2026, information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
