The Nantucket Public Schools, through its School Committee, invites qualified bidders to submit bids to replace the roof shingles and flashing on the Nantucket High School Vocational Wing. This Invitation for Bids which is made in accordance with M.G.L. c 149. Two copies of the bid are required. The bid envelope must be sealed and clearly marked:Nantucket High School Vocational Roofing Project. Questions concerning this IFB must be submitted in writing to: Chip Clunie, Director of Facilities & Grounds, 10 Surfside Road, Nantucket MA 02554 before 12:00 PM, April 25, 2024. Questions may be delivered, mailed, emailed cluniec@npsk.org) or faxed. Written responses will be mailed or faxed to all bidders on record as requested by the IFB. 1. Contractor shall supply all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform services in a workmanlike manner in accordance with all standard industry practices and properly dispose of all accumulated debris. 2. Strip, re-flash and re-shingle the entire two roofs including the small causeway roof that connects the vocational wing to the main building as shown in the attached photo with W.R Grace Ice and Water Shield, 30 pound felt and Certain Teed Landmark PRO Shingles(architectural) with at least 120 mph wind rating as well as manufacturer's lifetime warranty and must be 240 to 267 LBS per square. The contractor is responsible for the proper venting of the roof system. 3. The contractor shall supply all permitted Labor materials and equipment necessary to perform services and properly dispose of all accumulated debris.
