Alternate Bid for the same Square yardage of Fog Seal. All materials and workmanship must meet the requirements and standards of PennDOT Publication 408 Specifications, and bidders must be PennDOT prequalified. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Ross Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. All work for both contracts must be completed by August 31, 2024; liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $975.00 per day for each day beyond these dates that the work remains incomplete. The Pocono Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township. PA Prevailing Wages apply to the 2024 Bituminous Paving (Base Road Bid and Additional Bid Items) contract only. Please note that Bid Bonds /Checks are to be made payable to Pocono Township.
