The Town of Vail Public Works Department is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide services to the complete the removal and replacement of 30-40 snowmelt manifolds, associated connections, and ball valves in the Vail Village within the Town of Vail. The Work shall include permitting, removal, disposal, replacement, testing, and warrantying of said snowmelt manifolds. The successful contractor will be required to apply for and receive a Building Permit and Public Way Permit from the Town of Vail (permit fees will be waived) prior to start of the Work, schedule all necessary inspections, and comply with all applicable codes. The removal of each of the existing copper manifolds, associated valves, and connections that are within each manifold box The installation of all necessary new connections, ball valves, and manifolds, including reconnection to the laterals and snowmelt zone loops. The manifolds shall be Rehau Pro-balance 1" or 1 1/4 " Brass Manifolds (7-10 stations) or approved equivalent. Size and number of stations shall be field verified by contractor prior to installation.
