The East Vail Bus Shelters project includes the construction of three (3) timber framed bus shelters at the existing bus stops located at 4770 Bighorn Road, 5014 Main Gore Drive, 4825 Meadow Drive. The bus shelters will be constructed on an existing concrete slab foundation that will be installed as part of a separate contract by others. No utility work, concrete work or excavation is a part of this project. The project is expected to be completed by November 1, 2024. The concrete slab foundations are expected to be in place by or before October 1, 2024. A Notice to Proceed is anticipated on or about August 19, 2024 All questions regarding the Bid and the Contract Documents shall be addressed in writing via email, to: Thomas Kassmel, Town Engineer tkassmel@vail.gov 1.4 The final date for questions will be July 25, 2024 at 1:00pm (MST) Bidders are not required to attend a pre-Bid meeting. Contractors should tour the Site on their own at their convenience The successful contractor shall coordinate timing of Bus Shelter installation with the Town of Vail. Bus Shelter's may be constructed on-site or off-site; final installation on-site will be inspected by Town of Vail. All Town of Vail permit fees will be waived. All bidders must register with the Town of Vail's Project Manager at tkassmel@vail.gov with subject line "East Vail Bus Shelters Project".
