FAA AIP No. 3-36-0092-029-2023 (DESIGN) FAA AIP No. 3-36-0092-0XX-2024 (CONSTRUCTION) Question Deadline 04/21/2024 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Project consists of the removal of all obstructing vegetation on the Albert S. Nader Regional Airport property. The obstructions are located on approximately 5 acres in the vicinity of the Runway 6 threshold and approximately 8 acres in the vicinity of the Runway 24 threshold and are on Airport Property. A 3/4 acre area abutting a neighboring on the Runway 6 end will be topped at an elevation 10 feet below the Part 77 surface as indicated on the plans. The proposed project will be performed by the IUA, with grant assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). The project will be bid as a Base Bid and Add Alt, with the Runway 6 end being the Base and the Runway 24 end being the Add. 3. COORDINATION BEFORE AND DURING CONSTRUCTION Safety considerations are paramount during airfield construction projects. Careful planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction activities before and during construction can minimize disruption of normal aircraft operations and avoid situations that compromise the airport's operational safety. A complete list of the project contacts, including local emergency responders, has been included in Appendix A. The Contractor will be provided an electronic copy of this list and will update it to include contact information for its staff and sub-contractors including their Construction Safety Officer. The updated list will be included in an appendix of the Contractor's Safety Plan Compliance Document (SPCD).
