Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Warrenville, Illinois. Working plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

**As of May 17, 2024, bids received were rejected. No definite date for the rebid.** The work to be done for this project, shown on the Drawings entitled, Cenacle trail Bridge Rehabilitation prepared by Engineering resource Associates dated April 9, 2024, consists of a complete deck replacement, a partial substructure replacement with cleaning and painting of existing steel to be left in place and abutment repair of the existing bridge over the West Branch of the Dupage River in Blackwell Forest Preserve. Bid Bond 10% Consideration of contract award will likely be made on May 16, 2024 Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids on the project and successful contract bidders are encouraged to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services and construction. The Forest Preserve Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. Question Deadline 04/29/2024 at 5:00 PM CT REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE A. Removal of existing timber deck and railings B. Rehabilitation of existing substructure a. Replacement of select timber members b. Cleaning and painting of existing steel members C. Repair of footings and support structures a. Repair of masonry footings b. Replacement of wingwalls D. Installation of new decking and railings Contractor Use of the Premises A. Contractor shall not block the driveway or parking lot. B. Do not load structures with weight that will endanger any structure. C. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to see that all applicable OSHA standards and safety procedures are followed. D. Any damaged property shall be repaired by the Contractor to the satisfaction of the Owner and returned to the same condition it was in prior to the Contract starting date. E. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for protection and safekeeping of products stored on premises. F. The Contractor shall not interrupt Forest Preserve operations. The trail shall be closed to the public for the duration of the project from the east side of the bridge to the project limits. G. Contractor shall prohibit the lighting of fires about the premises and use due diligence to see that such prohibition is enforced. Debris and waste materials shall not be burned at the site but shall be promptly removed to prevent the accumulation of combustibles on the site.
