Saving Project...

Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Lake Forest, Illinois. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

As of September 19, 2024, the city has awarded and identified a design team. Tentative construction is demolition of the existing bridge starting in early January 2025 with the bridge reopening in late September or early October 2025. The purpose of this RFP is to obtain the best qualified, responsible firm to perform professional engineering and structural engineering services for construction of the Lake Woodbine Bridge. Professional engineering services is for Phase III Construction Engineering Services which include, but are not limited to, construction inspection and observation, construction documentation, and construction project closeout. A professional engineering license is required for staff overseeing the construction inspection. A licensed Structural Engineer shall be on the project-team to review all structural related shop drawings and RFI's particularly complex bridge/ precast concrete elements.
